These are a great product and make connecting your speaker cables to your various audio components and speakers a breeze. They accomodate more cable in the head and were also easier to screw on than the Rocket Fish bananas. The construction of these is very good and i've compared them to the Best Buy brand (Rocket Fish) and they are better. There is a price difference between the two but for a few dollars, i think the Monster QuickLock banana's are better. I will buy them again, i just wish they were about $10 cheaper. =)
I use these all the time because I use Monster Cable (the kind that is suppose to run through your walls) to get the most out of my Cerwin Vega speakers. The QuickLock is a dream come true and Monster always does a good job.
First I have to say, when starting this review Amazon popped up a little window that said "optional: rate this item's attributes - Sound quality (1-5 stars)." Please. I'd buy more, except they are way too expensive. As if this is going to improve my sound quality. This purchase will not improve your sound quality, it simply makes plugging your speakers in easier. On to the product (now that we know what it is for).:They work great and look good. GLS Audio makes the same exact product for 1/2 the price. But even that is too expensive for me - I ordered some all metal ones from Monoprice for $0.97 a pair that look great, function just as well and I just applied heat-shrink tubing to them to get the same protection.
As much as I dislike Monster Cable and how they rip their customers off. These are the best banana connectors I've found. I've set up quite a few home theaters, and these are definitely the easiest to use, and most compatible by far. Well worth what they cost.
This banana connectors are easy to use and apear solid, with good quality. The only con is its price, a little on the expensive side, even being Monster.
